19_CBRS_IBW_ektronAlthough the CBRS Alliance celebration party is over, the industry is still buzzing over the approval by the FCC for Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) to enter initial commercial deployment.

One of the questions that we still hear from customers is around use cases and ease of deployment. A recent Light Reading article highlighted a use case where CommScope is using CBRS for a private LTE in its manufacturing facility to remotely monitor equipment using video cameras. Many other uses cases will come to light now that initial commercial deployment is official.

But what about the ease of deployment?

On a recent visit to CommScope’s campus in Sunnyvale (the center for our Ruckus product and business development), I caught up with Juan Santiago of the CBRS team and he explained how easy it is for enterprise customers to use CBRS-enabled access points and a spectrum access system to quickly get up and running.
