Barry Colella is a product management director focused on active PON products for CommScope's Broadband Network Solutions (BNS) business. Barry joined CommScope through the acquisition of Arris in April of 2021. Over the span of his career, Barry has worked with optical and RF technologies in positions at MIT/Lincoln Laboratories and startup Quantum Bridge communications in addition to working for silicon and optical transceiver companies directly - performing a variety of duties including product marketing, design and development of optical modules and protocol engines. Barry holds multiple patents on network protocols and optical product circuitry to go along with participation in several standards efforts in the PON space. Barry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
