Let’s face it, we are creating a lot of data. If you are using a smartphone or tablet, then you are creating data. If you are connected to the Internet in any way, then you are using or creating data.

Two technologies that will help us stay connected are the Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G. Both technologies have garnered a lot of discussion lately and will help networks evolve as we create and use more data. As service providers ponder how their networks will transport this data increase, I’m here to tell them the answer—fiber.
