Hong Kong City Hall

Concert hall powers 4K video streaming with fewer resources

Hong Kong City Hall, a multipurpose cultural complex, has been adding power over Ethernet (PoE) inputs for power and communications. The addition of IP-based devices and applications has been a challenge to the historical building’s infrastructure. Network devices are popping up everywhere, including IP cameras, Wi-Fi access points and building access controls. The city hall’s managers chose CommScope’s powered fiber solutions to extend network access where it’s needed—indoors and out.

“We’re very pleased with CommScope’s powered fiber solutions. They make it easy for us to get high-bandwidth data and power connectivity to every device in every location—inside and out.”

Tim Chan, consultant and project manager, Panspace Limited
